We’re really in the thick of it now. There’s a chill in the air and we have some big time match ups coming up. Let’s get into it.
MORTAL LOCK (3-3)
Oklahoma -7 vs Texas
I don’t care that Texas hasn’t lost since week 1. Kyler Murray will be the best player on the field and Oklahoma is a far better team. Yea it’s a rivalry game so you can throw away the record books but Oklahoma has this game by at least 14. I also like the over at 59.
Syracuse -3 @ Pittsburgh
Syracuse STILL not getting respect. 4-1 with their only loss coming in a narrow defeat to Clemson in Death Valley last week. Syracuse is 22nd in points per game and 41st in yards per game behind the senior QB Eric Dungey. Pitt’s edge in this game? They’re home. Go Cuse. I think they take this one by multiple scores.
Kentucky +5.5 @ Texas A&M
Tough week to find an under dog I liked but I believe in the Wildcats this year. It’s the year of the basketball school and Kentucky has momentum and belief…and talent. It will be a tough environment but go Kentucky.
Notre Dame @ Virginia Tech UNDER 55
Ryan Willis has done a good job replacing the injured Josh Jackson at QB for Tech, but he’s still the backup and the Irish are stout and athletic on defense. On the other side, I don’t see Notre Dame executing as well as they have been on offense. Their biggest wins have all been at home, tonight they go into the hostile Lane Stadium against Bud Foster’s defense. I think ND will get the win in a low scoring game.
Wyoming @ Hawai’i OVER 57
Kickoff and midnight EST so you can just wake up and see this final at 54-28 to help that hangover. Hawai’i can score, Wyoming doesn’t defend. Lots of possessions, lots of points.
The Red River Rivalry:
19 Texas vs 7 Oklahoma (-7) 12:00 PM
Already talked about this. Oklahoma BIG. I do not believe in Texas. But I also don’t like Texas. Whatever. Boomer Sooner.
Oklahoma 48 Texas 17
5 LSU (-2) @ 22 Florida 3:30 PM
Florida’s ranking is severely deflated. Their loss at home to Kentucky (for the first time in 31 years) looked really bad at the time but now we know that Kentucky is for real. The Gators are coming off a big road win at Mississippi State, they’re in a good spot to take on Coach O and the Tigers. HOWEVER, LSU is feeling themselves, and for good reason. They finally have an offense they can trust but they still have their stereotypical LSU defense. They haven’t given up more than 21 points this year, I think they continue their run.
LSU 27 Florida 20
13 Kentucky @ Texas A&M (-5.5) 7:00 PM
This should be the game you have on full-time until Notre Dame Virginia Tech. TAMU is probably the best unranked team in the country. They’re 3-2 with their 2 losses to Alabama and Clemson. You show me this line in early September and I’d say it’s A&M by a million. But now? Kentucky has confidence and deserves more respect. As I said before, it’s the year of the “basketball school”.
Kentucky 31 Texas A&M 26
6 Notre Dame (-7) @ 24 Virginia Tech 8:00 PM
It hurts me because I grew up a huge Tech fan, but I don’t see the Irish losing this one. That embarrassing slip-up to Old Dominion the other week is not indicative of who the Hokies are. VT will play the Irish tough tonight but I see Notre Dame pulling away in the second half.
Notre Dame 24 Virginia Tech 10

Never been more confident in my analysis and picks so I’m paranoid. Nothing like October college football. I’ll wrap it up on Monday, have a great weekend.
